Principal's Corner

Message from the Principal

Dear Pembroke Owls!

I am honored to serve as principal of Pembroke Elementary School. I was born and raised here in Christian County. I graduated from Hopkinsville High School, and I attended Pembroke Elementary from kindergarten to sixth grade. Pembroke School is very special not only me, but my family as well, as I am a second-generation student of Pembroke School. I graduated from David Lipscomb University with a BS in Interdisciplinary Teaching. I went on to receive my Masters in administration from Austin Peay State University and my Rank I from Indiana Wesleyan University.

For the first ten years of my career, I served as a teacher at Millbrooke Elementary. I taught fourth, first and second grade during that time. I then transitioned to South Christian Elementary as first a classroom teacher, then a Curriculum Specialist. Recently, I have served as an Instructional Behavior Coach for the district, where I served both Holiday Elementary and Hopkinsville Middle.

Pembroke Elementary is known for its student centered environment, and I want to continue this tradition. Our school vision statement is: Pembroke Elementary where we strive for Children Learning All Skills Successfully.

In order for us to do this, we must be united around common goals and use the power of teamwork to accomplish them. This year at Pembroke, we are going to raise the bar in a student-centered, data-driven approach with high expectations for all stakeholders. We have an amazing staff that is united around promoting positive practices in order to meet the needs of all students.

I am looking forward to a wonderful year! I know that together we will fully equip our students for success in their future.
